Carmen Giménez

Executive Director and Publisher

Carmen Giménez began her tenure at Graywolf Press in August 2022. In her role, Carmen oversees all departments and works closely with our board of directors and staff to set the strategic direction of the press. Carmen also acquires fiction, nonfiction, and poetry titles. 

Carmen is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Bring Down the Little Birds, winner of the American Book Award, Milk and Filth, a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Poetry,  Be Recorder (published by Graywolf Press in 2019), a finalist for the National Book Award in Poetry, the PEN Open Book Award, the Audre Lorde Award for Lesbian Poetry, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and My Suit of Feathers: New and Selected Poems (forthcoming in 2027 from Noemi Press). She was a 2019 Guggenheim fellow and was awarded the Academy of American Poets Fellowship in 2020.

Before joining Graywolf Press, Carmen served as the publisher of Noemi Press for twenty years. 

Marisa Atkinson

Director of Marketing and Engagement

Oversees the marketing and publicity department and the campaigns for our books, and is responsible for event programming strategy.

MATTAN COMAY

Operations Manager

Mattan manages inventory and reprints, monitors book sales, acts as rights assistant, and processes Graywolf’s accounts payable.

KATIE DUBLINSKI

Associate Publisher and Chief Operating Officer

Katie oversees Graywolf’s operations, book production and art direction, and subsidiary rights, and she occasionally acquires fiction and nonfiction titles. 

eloise duncan

Publishing Operations Assistant

Eloise provides critical operations support to Graywolf’s publishing team and serves as administrative assistant to the office.

Development and Events Associate

Camryn supports the development team in events and fundraising initiatives, including the annual fundraising Salon. 

YUKA IGARASHI

Executive Editor

Yuka acquires fiction and nonfiction titles in English and in translation.

CLAIRE LAINE

Publicity Director

Claire oversees media coverage, author tours, and social media strategy for our books and organization.

ANNI LIU

Editor

Anni acquires fiction, nonfiction, and the occasional poetry title. She also supports the editorial director.

CAELAN ERNEST NARDONE

Publicist

Caelan manages publicity campaigns, marketing initiatives, and author tour events.

ETHAN NOSOWSKY

Editorial Director

Ethan is responsible for shaping Graywolf’s prose lists. He acquires fiction and nonfiction titles.

CASEY O’NEIL

Sales and Operations Director

Casey oversees Graywolf’s sales and retail marketing strategy, and coordinates HR and finance with Graywolf staff and board of directors.

JEFF SHOTTS

Executive Editor and Director of Poetry

Jeff is responsible for Graywolf’s poetry list. He also acquires literary nonfiction and criticism titles.

VERONICA SILVA

Sales Associate

Veronica leads our academic and library sales strategy and works with our distributor (Farrar, Straus & Giroux), sales representatives, and booksellers nationwide to ensure Graywolf books are well represented in the marketplace.

Assistant Editor

Brittany acquires prose and poetry and supports the executive director and publisher and director of poetry.

Major Gifts Officer

Anna plays a key role in the Graywolf development team’s fundraising strategy and donor cultivation, working closely with the executive director and Graywolf board of directors.

AMANDA ZWEERINK

Chief Brand and Growth Officer

Amanda provides strategic leadership for Graywolf’s brand development, marketing, communications, and fundraising activities.
